Standard Rates
The standard self-pay therapy rate is $175 for a 53-minute session.
When using insurance, a full mental health evaluation and diagnosis is required. This is due to insurance company protocols. If clients participate in our self-pay services (no insurance involved), mental health evaluations and diagnosis are optional.
The initial intake session is $250. It includes a full assessment of client needs and goals. The standard self-pay rate is $175 for 53-minute session.
Supervision for providers on LICSW and LCSW licensee tracks is $125 for a 60-minute session.
Leadership assessment, executive coaching, and corporate projects are priced through customized bids.
Insurance
We accept the following insurance providers: Blue Cross Blue Shield, Health Partners, Optum, United Behavioral Health, United Healthcare, UMR, BIND/Surest, Mayo Medica, Medica, and Prime West. Mental health diagnosis and treatment plans are required by insurance companies. Partnerships with additional plans coming.
We bill insurance companies directly, however, please note that the client is responsible for full payment in the event sessions are not covered or reimbursed. Clients are urged to consult with their insurance provider prior to contacting River Pines. Copays are required prior to each session via our secure online patient portal.
We are not able to offer pro bono, sliding scale, or complementary consultations at this time.
In-person Counseling
River Pines Counseling offers an upscale therapy clinic environment with friendly and timely customer service. Our session rooms are set up with soft calming lighting as well as comfortable seating to create a feeling of ease and tranquility.
We require proof of COVID-19 vaccination and boosters and our clients must acknowledge they have not had any recent COVID symptoms or exposures. Mask guidelines follow current CDC guidance. In-person sessions can be switched to Telehealth at any time.
Telehealth Counseling
Telemental health and live video online therapy sessions offer convenient and time-efficient therapy in your own private location. A computer, tablet, or smartphone with internet connection is required. Privacy and confidentiality are critical to ensure HIPAA healthcare compliance standards.
We use a HIPAA compliant platform within our electronic TherapyNotes system. Clients receive an email link to gain access if joining a virtual counseling session. If joining by telephone, the provider will initiate the phone session.
Online psychotherapy is a convenient option for busy schedules, limited work breaks, under-the-weather days, and snowy or construction driving days. Clients may simply prefer the comforts of their home.
Telehealth includes the following frequently used synonymous terms: online therapy, online counseling, online psychotherapy, online coaching, video therapy, telephone therapy, telemental therapy, e-therapy, e-counseling, e-psychotherapy, and e-coaching.
